The cruise included the viewing of the Māori rock carvings, a demonstration on how they fish for trout, a sample of smoked trout (from a previous successful catch!!) and a freshly baked blueberry muffin. There was a good commentary, although not always that clear, pointing out various sights around the lake, as well as information about the lake itself and a lot about the origin of the Māori rock carvings. A lovely way to spend 90 minutes on the water on a beautiful sunny afternoon.”

There was a choice of lower and upper decks with us preferring the lower deck, sitting inside but able to venture outside to take photos. We used this fully to take photos of the beautiful surroundings and the carvings. Drinks were available making for a pleasant trip. Wonderful value.”
